Dallas, Tx.-based game co-publisher Tri Synergy will release BANDITS: Phoenix Rising on PC-CD ROM in the first quarter of 2003. Developed by Grin Inc., the post-apocalyptic action game visits ground familiar to fans of the Mad Max films. Gameplay involves territorial gangs with cannon-mounted combat vehicles fighting for dominance and survival in a desert wasteland.
Led by Wolfpack gang leaders Fennec and Rewdalf, players battle through more than 22 missions ranging from car duels and train robberies to the storming of outposts. Standing in the way are hordes of heavily armed enemies with custom-built cars equipped with cannons, missiles, guns, grenade launchers and mine droppers. Modes include single player and Internet deathmatches.
No release date has been announced.
