September will see the Fox Box launch of an hour dedicated to girls animation, according to C21media. The move is intended to diversify the audience for 4Kids Ent.’s Saturday morning block, which mostly attracts boys with action/adventure programming like Sonic X, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Shaman King, The Cramp Twins and Kirby.
Winx Club from Rainbow Animation/Rai Fiction will join Fox Box this June, followed by Tokyo MewMews from Kodansha/TV Aichi in September. The series will air from 8 a.m.-9 a.m. slot.
