Tri Synergy, a North American co-publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment software, has entered into an exclusive North American distribution agreement with Paris-based online game and software development company Nevrax. The deal will see Tri Synergy distribute Nevrax’s multi-genre, massively multiplayer online role-playing game, The Saga of Ryzom, in North America later this year.
In January of 2004, Nevrax signed The Themis Group to develop the global marketing strategy for Ryzom and handle customer support for the game in the US. The title then entered open beta testing through Gamespy’s Fileplanet download service (www.fileplanet.com) in April.
Saga of Ryzom is set in the distant future as four Homin races struggle for survival on the planet Atys, which is growing and evolving on its own, sending tendrils into the sky and covering the lands with new life. The Saga will be played out over a period of eight years, during which players will be able to explore Atys and uncover the many hidden mysteries of the Ryzom universe.
Driven by the new RAID (Real-Time Army Invasion Deployment) engine, Ryzom enables players to engage hordes of enemies, build unique characters, create customized special attacks and spells and construct and customize equipment. For more information on the game, see www.ryzom.com.
