France 3 Grabs BRB’s Angus & Cheryl

French public broadcaster France 3 has acquired the new animated series Angus & Cheryl from producer/distributor BRB Internacional. Consisting of 104 two-minute episodes, the show will be offered to France 3 viewers as both an open broadcast and through its new media platforms including www.toowarm.fr. Since debuting at last year’s MIPCOM Jr., the series has also been sold to Nickelodeon International and Radio Canada, among others.

Angus & Cheryl is a CG-animated comedy produced in Hi-Def. Without using dialogue, the series offers a fun look at the daily clashes in any couple’s relationship, and explores universal truths through the conflicting personalities of Angus, who is very simple and direct, and Cheryl, who is complex and devious.

Co-producers BRB Internacional, Screen 21, Televisi’ de Catalunya and Tuba Ent. have specially designed Angus & Cheryl to adapt to mobile phones, videogames, blogs, podcasts and virtual communities. The first season will roll out worldwide this fall and a second season will debut this week at Cartoon Forum in Girona, Spain. For more information on the series, go to www.angus&cheryl.com.
