4Kids Strikes Viva Pi’ata Deals

4Kids Ent.’s animated series Viva Pi’ata is extending its global reach via

new broadcast licensing agreements with several major broadcasters, including Mexico’s Televisa. New episodes of the colorful kids’ series are also set to air on TV3 in New Zealand, Animax in South Korea, Momo Kids TV in Taiwan and Kids Central in Singapore.

Available as a series of 52 half-hour episodes or 104 11-minute installments, Viva Pi’ata features a cast of pi’ata friends who embark on wild adventures with mysteries to solve and parties to be had on Pi’ata Island. The ensemble cast of candy-filled paper mache characters include Hudson Horstachio, Fergy Fudgehog, Paulie Pretztail and Franklin Fizzlybear, with more pi’atas being discovered on a regular basis.

Viva Pi’ata airs weekly in the U.S. on 4Kids TV, and can also be seen on YTV in Canada, France 3 Television and Canal J Pay Satellite TV in France, RTL2 in Germany, NRK in Norway, SIC in Portugal, MediaCorp TV12’s Kid Central in Singapore, Children’s Channel in Israel and Nickelodeon in the U.K., the Netherlands, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. In addition, fans can catch the hit series on the 4Kids TV VOD Channel on Comcast and Cox ON DEMAND, and go interactive with a new social party game available this week for Xbox 360.
