BabyFirstTV Debuts DVD Series

BabyFirstTV, a premium television channel that airs animated and live-action programming for babies, infants and toddlers, is launching a line of DVDs based on its original content. Supported by a robust consumer marketing campaign, the first titles will hit retail on Nov. 1. The initial six releases will be sold individually or in three different multi-pack configurations, including a six-disc set.

Social Explorations will take babies and toddlers on an adventure of discovery through a variety of games and activities, while Visual Inspirations explores the beauty of art in a manner that adjusts to the nature and pace of a child’s development. The gradual process in which vocabulary is created is enhanced in Vocabulary Seeds, and the different components of cognitive abilities are looked at in Cognitive Beginnings. Numerical Concepts introduces numbers and counting, and Night Symphony features lullaby music and soothing images to facilitate quiet time.

Each BabyFirst DVD title features programming developed by leading child development experts and includes on-screen parenting tips and information, as well as a three-step topic introduction method, English/Spanish audio soundtracks and a two-month free subscription to the channel (where available). Individual releases carry a suggested retail price of $15.95. The three-disc collections will list for $35.95, and the six-disc set for $65.95.
