Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Comedy Central Home Entertainment is releasing Christmas Time in South Park, a DVD collection of all seven of the animated series’ winter holiday-themed episodes, going all the way back to 1997 with ‘Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo.’ The disc will hit retail on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and can also be ordered online at http://shop.comedycentral.com.
Fans of the irreverent animated show can revisit some of their favorite moments as Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny travel with Santa Claus to Iraq, have Christmas dinner with a notorious serial killer and help build a manger for adorable forest animals that turn out to be devil worshipers. Installments included on the DVD are ‘Merry Christmas, Charlie Manson,’ ‘Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics,’ ‘A Very Crappy Christmas,’ ‘Red Sleigh Down,’ ‘It’s Christmas in Canada’ and ‘Woodland Critter Christmas.’
Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park lunched in 1997 and is now in its 11th season on Comedy Central. Still the cable network’s highest-rated series, it regularly airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. and repeats at various times throughout the week.
