The first episode of a new CG-animated political comedy series titled HeadaState is now available at MySpaceTV, the video channel for the popular social networking site. The premiere installment, ‘Albert’s Big Break,’ features president Bush getting a verbal smack down from a rather earthy Helen Thomas during a press conference.
Created by Andrew Arnold, HeadaState revolves around the life of the President and aims to give life to those ‘little-read, back-page stories in the newspaper that have such a major effect on the world.’ The series uses humor to point out ‘channels of deep truths’ that Arnold feels are being swept under the carpet while frivolous stories dominate the headlines.
According to the official website, www.headastate.com, the ultimate goal is to get the series on broadcast television or develop a strong online audience with the aid of public financing or political donations. The first episode is seven minutes long and is now available at http://www.myspace.com/HeadaStateDotCom and www.headastate.com. The sites also feature a Fred Thompson campaign ad spoof.
