Austrian public broadcaster ‘sterreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) has acquired exclusive free-TV broadcast rights within the Austrian territory for EM.Entertainment GmbH’s animated series Staines Down Drains and F.T.P.D. ‘ Fairytale Police Department. The licensing contract encompasses rights usage for five years starting Dec. 1, 2007 and ending Dec. 1, 2012.
‘In licensing Staines Down Drains and F.T.P.D – Fairytale Police Department, we are continuing our long-established partnership with ORF,’ says John Morris, president of distribution for EM.Entertainment. ‘The agreement demonstrates again the faith placed in the quality of our program portfolio by major national and international broadcasters.’
Staines Down Drains, known in Germany as Fleckgeflutscht!, is co-produced by Australian production studio Flying Bark Prods., a subsidiary of EM.Entertainment. The 2D show consists of 26 half hours and features fast-paced action/comedy aimed at children aged between the ages of six and eleven.
F.T.P.D. ‘ Fairytale Police Department (F.T.P.D. ‘ Die M’rchenpolizei ) is a 2D animated comedy for kids 6-12. The series of 26 half hour installments sees famous fairytale characters such as Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella involved in entertaining mix-ups with happy endings. The Yoram Gross-EM.TV production is produced in Australia and is available on DVD.
