Rhinofx Expands into Features

Rhinofx in New York is making the move to feature film work and has opened an office in Stamford, Conn. in order to offer clients the benefit of 30% tax incentives offered by the state, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Having previously focused on commercials and other short-form projects, the company plans to offer an alternative to top West coast vfx shops and outsourcing outside the U.S.

Offering both 2D and 3D effects work, Rhinofx’s new facility will house nearly a dozen employees collaborating with the 40 artists in the New York studio via a digital link. The company created effects for the Weinstein Co.’s The Nanny Diaries and is now at work on DreamWorks/Paramount’s Ghost Town, which is set for release in August.
