AVP Sequel Sneaks Online

The first Alien Vs. Predator movie wasn’t completely embraced by fans of the Dark Horse comic book series or either feature film franchise, but it did well enough to warrant a sequel. The clash of the ugly extra-terrestrials continues with Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem, which 20th Century Fox will unleash on theaters on Dec. 25, Christmas Day. The first five minutes of the film is now available for squinted viewing online.

Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem stars a cast of relative unknowns in a gory slug-out between two nasty species from other planets. The brawl rages on Earth, where unsuspecting residents of a small town must band together in a bid to survive the melee. The film is directed by brothers Colin and Greg Strauss, accomplished visual effects supervisors who also oversaw effects work on the film. Hydraulx and Pixel Liberation Front handled most of the movie magic.

Alien Vs. Predator was released in the summer of 2004 and went on to gross more than $170 million worldwide. The five-minute preview of the eagerly awaited sequel can be seen in a rather small format at http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/a/Aliens-Vs-Predator-Requiem/index-3687454.html.
