Warner Home Video announced that it will release the Hanna-Barbera animated series The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show on DVD for the first time on March 18. The two-disc set will include the all 16 episodes, as well as four bonus installments of the half-hour Saturday morning show, which first aired on CBS in 1971.
The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show follows the high jinks of teenage neighbors Pebbles Flintstone, voiced by Sally Struthers from All in the Family, and Bamm-Bamm Rubble, voiced by Jay North of Dennis the Menace fame. The pre-historic duo attend Bedrock High, where they become embroiled in a variety of misadventures with pals Wiggy, Penny and teen inventor Moonrock. Other regular characters include Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty, as well as Pebbles’ rival, Cindy, her sidekick Fabian, the perpetually unlucky Bad-luck Schleprock and the motorcycle gang known as the Bronto Bunch.
The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show: The Complete Series will retail at $26.99, with special features including the bonus episodes ‘Squawkie Talkie,’ ‘Suitor Computer,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Bedlam in Bedrock.’ For more information on this and other titles distributed by Warner Home Video, go to www.whvdirect.com.
