Avid Technology Inc.’s Softimage Co. today released a free upgrade for Alienbrain, its digital asset management system used by many of the top animation houses and independent studios. Alienbrain 8.1 is designed to provide an artist-centric system that manages assets for streamlined and efficient games, film and post-production workflows.
Key new features include expanded support for Microsoft Windows Vista and Apple Mac OS X Leopard operating systems, and Digital content creation software integration with SOFTIMAGE|XSI 6.5, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Adobe Photoshop C3, Autodesk AliasStudio 2008, Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 and Autodesk Maya 2008.
