Clampett Studio Collections has announced that it is distributing Marvel Animation art, including pieces featuring such iconic comic-book characters as Iron Man, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four and Thor. The collection premiered earlier this month at Art Expo in New York, showcasing artwork from the direct-to-DVD feature film Ultimate Avengers: The Movie and the animated television series The Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes, a co-production of MoonScoop and Marvel.
Art collectors can now purchase original production drawings, storyboards, and layouts from the animated productions. The Avengers art should be particularly enticing as the movie was the first in a series animated features put out by Marvel Ent. and Lions Gate Home Entertainment. The pic is based on the best-selling Marvel Comics series The Ultimates, Mark Millar’s and Bryan Hitch’s revitalization of The Avengers comics, which debuted on the early 1960s.
Clampett Studio Collections is the licensee for Warner Bros., DC Comics and Hanna-Barbera animation art. Headed by Ruth Clampett, former VP of design for Warner Bros Studio Stores, the studio prides itself on being staffed by knowledgeable veterans from the retail and production sides in animation.
