Fluorescent Serves Master Kush

U.K.-based technology company Fluorescent Media has teamed with Los Angeles-based Kush Boys Studios to jointly develop, produce and distribute cross-platform programming and branded entertainment based on Kush Boys’ adult animation property, Master Kush. The announcement was made at MIPTV in Cannes by Carolyn Maze, managing director of Fluorescent Media, and Kush Boys Studios’ exec producers Drue Young and Jamal Weathers.

‘Our goal is to offer an extensive consortium of creative and innovative talent,” says Maze. ‘Our partnership with the Kush Boys exemplifies the first of what we expect to be many new associations’in essence, a global creative group whose innovative ideas will cultivate into marketable IPs, may it be in the form

of TV, radio, online campaign or a retail product.’

Employing its proprietary mass-audience participation technology, Phoenix, Fluorescent has developed a viewer-created launch campaign for Master Kush involving an interactive comic strip. The company is in discussions with media partners, social networks and various brands to leverage the cross-media campaign leading up to the release of the Master Kush TV series, slated for premiere later this year.

Master Kush revolves around the global adventures of Akura Kushimota, a world-renown samurai and ex-martial arts superstar who, together with his entourage, gets dragged out of retirement from his Hollywood Hills home to fight a secret terror organization.
