Aniboom, an independent animation network fed by talent from around the world, has teamed with Oberon Media’s multi-platform casual games publisher, I-play, to create animated serial content based on the publisher’s top titles. The first series under development through the partnership is based on I-play’s Turbo Subs, which has been downloaded millions of times since it debuted early this year as the sequel to the international casual game hit Turbo Pizza. Turo Subs and the other cartoon series will be distributed across all possible platforms.
Turbo Subs finds Turbo Pizza characters Rebecca and Robert continuing their pursuit of building the greatest restaurant franchise in town, except now they find themselves in the much bigger town of New York City. Aniboom will produce the animated series for mobile, online and television platforms utilizing the talents of animators from its global community of independent creators. Scripts will be written by Chris Brown, who has worked on the hit television series Friends and such popular animated series as What’s New, Scooby Doo? and Johnny Test.

The partnership between Aniboom and I-play follows closely on the heels of newly formed alliances between Aniboom and six additional mobile entertainment distributors and with five more online video platforms.

Animators are able to earn money based on the popularity of their creation within the Aniboom distribution network, including Aniboom.com and branded areas on partners’ distribution platforms.
