Porky, Tony the Tiger Grace VOICE 2008

Bob Bergen, the current voice of Warner Bros.’ Porky Pig and Tweety, and Lee Marshall, the voice of Tony the Tiger, will be among the dignitaries attending the VoiceOver Int’l Creative Experience (VOICE 2008). Sponsored by actors’ union AFTRA, the second annual confab will be held August 7-11 at the Hyatt Regency, Century Plaza in Los Angeles, Calif.

Other talent slated to join the festivities include Famous Radio Ranch’s Dick Orkin and Christine Coyle; Randy Thomas, the Voice of the Academy Awards and the Tony Awards; and Pat Fraley, creator of more than 4000 characters. Thy and other working professionals from the worlds of animation, video games, audio books, commercials, movie trailers, narration, new media and marketing to offer speial programs for thos new to the business, as well as working pros.

‘Attendees of VOICE 2008 will be treated to a lineup of 24 top VoiceOver professionals offering VO teaching strategies to all levels,” says James Alburger, who founded VoiceOver Int’l Creative Experience with Penny Abshire. Abshire adds, ‘VOICE 2008 is intended to help voice talent at all levels of experience.’

VOICE 2008 festivities will convene with a red-carpet networking opportunity on Thursday, August 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Seven countries are represented.
