John Stevenson, co-director of the Oscar nominated animated feature Kung Fu Panda, has been hired to direct a He-Man live-action film, Variety reports.
He-Man, who was created as part of the Masters of the Universe toy line in the early 1980s, went on to star in a popular animated TV series and a live-action movie in 1987.
The film is being produced by Joel Silver, with Justin Marks having completed the first draft of the script.
