Spielberg, EA Spin Boom Blox Sequel

Director Steven Spielberg and Electronic Arts are working on a new videogame called Boom Blox Bash Party, a sequel to their first videogame collaboration.

The game, being developed for the Nintendo Wii, is expected to be out this spring, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Boom Blox Bash Party is a wild social gaming experience,” Spielberg told the trade. “We know families and friends really enjoyed playing the original Boom Blox together, so we designed more explosive multiplayer experiences with Boom Blox Bash Party.”

The game is the second of three projects resulting from a 2005 deal between the filmmaker and the game company.
