Simpsons Opening Spruced Up for HD Debut

This past Sunday’s episode of The Simpsons was not only the first episode of the long-running show to air in high definition, it also sported a new opening title sequence.

The opening title, which changed the blackboard joke and couch gag every week but has otherwise remained the same since the show debuted in 1989, follows essentially the same idea, but adds more details and more characters to the mix.

The opening is available on YouTube or you can just watch it right here.
