The Walt Disney classic film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is coming to Blu-ray, debuting in the high-def format a full seven weeks before a new standard-resolution DVD hits stores.
The Blu-ray edition available Oct. 6 will be a three-disc Disney Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack, featuring two Blu-ray discs and a standard DVD version of the film. The Blu-ray version of the film features a fully restored picture and 7.1 Digital Theater System Hi-Def Surround Sound.
A deluxe two-disc DVD version of the film will follow on Nov. 24.
‘We are thrilled that the consumer has clearly recognized the value in our Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack releases and will have another opportunity to maximize their viewing options in October with Snow White,’ said Bob Chapek, president of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
