NASCAR Drives to Tinseltown for DVD Feature

NASCAR is getting into the animation business, teaming up with Tinseltown Toons to produce a direct-to-DVD feature titled NASCAR: The Secret Life of Cars.

The feature is set for release in 2011 from Universal, and is seen as a way for the sport to cultivate a young audience, reports Variety.

The feature will be about race cars that come to life when people aren’t around.

Tom Rogers, whose credits include Tinkerbell and Lion King 1 ‘ for Disney, will write the script based on an idea by Joshua Wexler of Tinseltown.
