A new wave of Naruto anime is coming to Latin America, with rights-holder VIZ media making a broadcast deal with Cartoon Network Latin America and a DVD deal in Brazil with PlayArte Pictures.
Cartoon Network Latin America’s deal includes the second season of the popular series, as well as the feature film Naruto: The Movie ‘ Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow and Naruto: ‘The Lost Story’ Mission ‘ Protect the Waterfall Village!
Season two of the series, which includes more than 50 episodes, will begin airing this month, as will Protect the Waterfall Village! The feature film has yet to be scheduled.
Cartoon Network Latin America broadcasts in English, Portuguese and Spanish throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
The home video deal in Brazil will the second season released in the second half of the year on double-sided DVDs that feature the dubbed version on one side and the original Japanese version with subtitles on the other.
