Kidz Names New CEO, Expands in Eastern Europe

K.J. Istock has been named the permanent CEO of brand-development and licensing agency Kidz Entertainment/EEMC, one of several staffing changes he company has announces.

Istock had been interim CEO during a leave of absence by Anna Lisa McBride, who left the company permanently effective July 31.

Based in Denmark, the company represents such top animation brands as The Simpsons, Miffy, Thomas and Friends and Bob the Builder.

The company also has appointed Slawek Eikert the manager for Poland, a key territory for the company as it looks to expand its business in Eastern Europe and Russia.

Kidz/EEMC also has been retained by Chapman Entertainment as its agent in Nordic countries for the brands Roary the Racing Car and Fifi and the Flowertots.

‘Despite the economic crisis we are currently on track for one of our most successful and profitable years ever and are expanding in all the territories we operate in,’ says Morten Geschwendtner, director of Kidz/EEMC. ‘Our sales figures in Russia are particularly encouraging and the result of a lot of hard work by the whole team.’
