Randy Rossilli Jr., an Emmy-winning writer and producer and head of Nightstand Creations, is seeking a broadcaster to pick up a holiday special he wrote and produced titled December Miracles.
The special is about a young Christian orphan who is adopted by a Jewish family and learns the value of their holiday traditions, including Hanukkah.
‘I always wanted to produce a family holiday special with an important message,’ says Rossilli. ‘There are so many Christmas specials on TV but really nothing for the Jewish community, and that led to my decision to make a Hanukkah special.’ Rossilli, who was raised Catholic, turned to the Jewish community for feedback.
To get everything correct, Rossilli consulted with Rabbi Brad Hirschfield, president of CLAL’The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, on its development.
