Moonscoop Sells 200 Half-Hours to GMTV

France-based producer and distributor Moonscoop has sold more than 200 half-hours of programming to GMTV in the United Kingdom.

The major deal includes such programs as Fantastic Four, Code Lyoko and Cosmic Quantum Ray. It also includes new series Hero:108 and Chloe’s Closet.

‘This deal extends our good relationship with GMTV, which continues to provide an excellent terrestrial broadcast home for our series in the U.K.,’ says Lionel Marty, president of worldwide distribution for Moonscoop.

Using a mix of Flash and 3D CGI, Hero:108 is a comedy and action series for ages 6-11 that Cartoon Network has picked up to air in the United States. Created as a design by Phoenix Tarng of Gamania, the series is inspired by the 14th century Chinese novel The Water Margin Stories, which details the exploits of a Robin Hood-like group of 108 heroic vigilantes in their struggle to protect the people from an evil and ruthless overlord.

Moonscoop’s other new series is Chloe’s Closet (52 x 11 min.), about an imaginative little girl who discovers magical new worlds while playing dress-up in her closet. Her constant companions include a security blanket named Lovely Carrot.
