Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins and Adult Swim lead the way in third quarter ratings for Cartoon Network.
Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins, a hybrid live-action and CG-animation TV movie, was the most-watched telecast in Cartoon Network history, with nearly 13.4 million viewers tuning in. It also delivered strong ratings in key demos for boys 2-11, 6-11 and kids 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14. The movie’s premiere on Sept. 13 was the top telecast of the day among all kids and boys demos.
And Adult Swim, the late-night bloc aimed at older viewers, remains basic cable’s top network for total day delivery of adults and men 18-34 and 18-24. Adult Swim also saw delivery growth over last year among all young adult demographics.
The Sept. 8 broadcast of Family Guy was the most-watched Adult Swim program of the quarter, which ran June 29 to Sept. 27, with 1.65 million viewers.
