Fox Developing Bagge’s Bradleys

Fox has ordered an animated pilot based on the independent comic book The Bradleys from creator Peter Bagge.

According to the comic’s publisher Fantagraphics, Fox has asked Bagge for a script based on the comic about the dysfunctional modern family. The Bradleys, created by Bagge in the late 1980s and published in the title Neat Stuff, featured parents Brad and Betty, with slacker teenage son Buddy, jock son Butch and self-absorbed daughter Babs.

Buddy Bradley later starred in his own hit comic book series, Hate!.

Bagge has worked on a series of animated commercials for Round Table Pizza and contributed cartoons to a number of outlets, including Reason and Discover magazines.
