Fox has its eyes on developing even more animated series, looking at several new projects including one from actor Jonah Hill and signing Family Guy executive producer David Goodman to a two-year overall development deal.
The Hill project, still untitled, centers on a 7-year-old who acts and talks like an adult socialite and finds himself out of his element in public school, reports Variety. Hill will provide a voice as well as write with Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul ‘ all three of whom are set to be executive producers on the show along with Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope.
The deal with Goodman, who remains on Family Guy but is handing off showrunner duties, has him attached to two animated pitches, the trade reports.
First is Fathers and Son, created by Jason Ruiz, a graduate of the Fox Inkubation program for budding animators. Goodman also may work on a project put forth by Robot Chicken creators Seth Green, Matthew Senreich and Tom Root.
Goodman’s credits include Futurama, and features scripts Hong Kong Phooey and Who’s Killing the Great Chefs? Goodman also may work on live-action projects.
