He’s been the worst boss ever on The Office and a face in the on-set crowd in Extras, and now ‘ right after hosting the Golden Globes ceremony ‘ Ricky Gervais is getting animated.
HBO has announced the animated Ricky Gervais Show will debut Feb. 19. The series is set to run 13 episodes and features the voices of Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington.
The series will be based on a series of popular audio shows and podcasts created by Gervais, Merchant and Pilkington. The series ran from 2001 through 2008 and has consistently been ranked as the most popular podcast in the world.
The original series featured a number of standing audio bits, many of which were inspired by the offbeat musings of Pilkington.
