Set the DVR, The Simpsons‘ 20th anniversary celebration is set to peak Sunday with the airing of the series’ 450th episode followed by a new one-hour documentary on the show’s success.
The episode, titled ‘Once Upon a Time in Springfield,’ features Anne Hathaway in a guest voice as the new female sidekick ‘ and love interest ‘ of Krusty the Clown.
Following the episode will be The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice, directed by Morgan Spurlock of Super Size Me and 30 Days fame.
Now in its 21st series, The Simpsons has become the longest-running nighttime TV series in TV history.
The Simpsons’ 450th episode airs Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice one-hour special following at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
