Cynthia Song’, a voice actress who worked on such films as Clifford and Stuart Little, died last week after a brief illness at the age of 58, according to Variety.
Song’ began her career at UCLA, where she performed in the Ensemble Studio Theater and earned a degree in theater arts.
She began voice acting after taking a class from voiceover actor Susan Blu. She also worked in voice over casting and education.
Song’ worked extensively in voice acting education, teaching at a school she and Blu ran called Blupka Productions. She also contributed to the books Word of Mouth: A Guide to Commercial and Animation Voice Over Excellence and Word of Mouth: A Guide to Voiceover Excellence, Vol 3.
She is survived by her spouse, Blu, and a sister. Donations may be made to Woods Humane Society in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
