4Kids Entertainment introduced at the recent Licensing Expo in Las Vegas a new group of characters from Jim Henson Designs known as The Scribbles.
Inspired by original scribbles by the late creator of the Muppets, The Scribbles are colorful characters who help viewers express their pent-up emotions.
Among the colorful characters: Wendell – The Dreamer; Gormand ‘ The Glutton; Zee-Zee ‘ The Lump; Spork ‘ The Wild Child; Sunny ‘ The Goth Girl; Bink ‘ The Weirdo; Razz ‘ The Trickster; and Smitty ‘ The Blowhard.
Since they were first introduced in 2009, Jim Henson Designs products have taken Japan by storm. 4Kids’ agent Global Brands helped launch The Scribbles in Japan and is in the process of negotiating additional licensing deals in multiple categories.
