Fans will get a chance July 1 to see the trailer to Studio Ghibli’s Tales from the Earthsea at the Max anime event set for Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles.
Directed by Goro Miyazaki ‘ son of acclaimed animator Hayao Miyazaki ‘ the movie will be released with an English dub in the United States by Touchstone Pictures on Aug. 13. Based on a novel by acclaimed science fiction author Ursula K. LeGuin, the film was released in Japan in 2006.
Max is a one-day fan event with free admission to the general areas and nominal fees for various activities.
The chance to see the trailer will be available to Club 2 the Max participants of either screenings of the highly anticipated Erina Mano horror film, Kai-Ki: Tales Of Terror From Tokyo, and to those that attend either of the AniMaid caf’ events. Tickets are available at www.Club2theMAX.com.
