Rainbow to Distribute Daewon’s Gon in Europe

Korea’s Daewon Media’s in-production 3D animated series Gon has picked up a distribution agent in Europe in the form of Rainbow SpA.

The animated series about a small dinosaur-like creature, is in production and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011. It is based on the popular manga series published by Japanese company Kodansha.

The deal is Rainbow’s first-ever acquisition of a third-party property.

‘We feel confident that a collaboration between two such prestigious and established animation companies such as Rainbow and Daewon will result in an enormous success,’ says Wook Jung, chairman and CEO of Daewon.
