Destineer Brings Original Dragon’s Lair to Wii

If you were into video games and animation in the 1980s, you more than likely dumped more than a few quarters into the various Dragon’s Lair arcade consoles. The games were cutting edge for the time, featuring 2D animated visuals created by a team lead by animator Don Bluth.

Now the game is coming home in a release for the Nintendo Wii from Destineer Games. The Dragon’s Lair Trilogy will include the original Dragon’s Lair game as well as Dragon’s Lair II: Time Warp and the similarly-styled but unrelated game Space Ace.

The release is completely arcade authentic and features original arcade gameplay modes, remastered animation, standard and widescreen modes, an all-new move guide for beginners and the ability to watch the animation without playing the game.

The game is set for a fall release with a suggested retail price of $29.99. More information can be found online at www.dragonslairtrilogy.com or www.destineergames.com.
