The final episode of Lost has now long since aired ‘ but with the final season and complete series coming to home video next week, Look Effects is offering a special behind-the-scenes look at the making of the historic final episode.
A panel of artists from the studio will discuss its work on the final episode at an event sponsored by the Visual Effects Society and set for Aug. 26 at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood.
The panel will feature Adam Avitable, visual effects supervisor; Melinka Thompson-Godoy, visual effects producer; Michael Degtjarewsky, digital effects supervisor; Max Ivins, sequence supervisor; Rocco Gioffre, lead matte artist and Brad Kalinoski, compositing supervisor.
The panel will discuss Look’s history with the show, the difficulties of coming onto a series that has already been running for five yeas and how they provided visual effects for more than 1,000 shots seen in 16 episodes.
The event begins with at meet and greet at 6 p.m. and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. The evening also includes a presentation by the visual-effects crew for Chuck. The event is free, but reservations are required. To RSVP visit: http://www.gnomonschool.com.
