Fans of the DC Showcase short films that have appeared on recent DC Universe original animated DVD releases can now get their fix all in one place ‘ along with a special dose of Shazam!
Warner Premiere has announced the Nov. 9 release of the DC Showcase Original Shorts Collection, which will feature an all-new short titled Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam.
The 22-minute short features the voices of Jerry O’Connell as Captain Marvel, George Newbern as Superman, Arnold Vosloo as Black Adam and James Garner as The Wizard. The Superman/Shazam! short is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, written by Michael Jelenic and executive produced by Bruce Timm.
The collection also will include the previously released shorts The Spectre, Jonah Hex and Green Arrow.
The collection will be released both as a single-disc DVD featuring as a bonus four TV series episodes hand-picked by executive producer Bruce Timm; and as a Blu-ray disc that also will include digital copies of the shorts and commentaries by writers Steve Niles, Joe Lansdale, Greg Weisman and Michael Jelenic.
The DVD edition will retail for a suggested price of $19.98 and the Blu-ray for $29.99.
