Trailer: ‘Condorito: The Movie’ Takes Flight with Lionsgate

A unique hero unafraid to shove his beak in the face of danger will share his latest feats with US home audiences thanks to Lionsgate, which is releasing CG-animated family flick Condorito: The Movie on Digital (March 27) and DVD (April 10; SRP $14.98) with both English and Spanish versions. Based on the beloved comic-strip character from Chilean artist Pepo, the movie sends Condorito an a hilarious, out-of-this-world adventure.

Produced by Pajarraco Films and Aronnax Animation and directed by veteran animator Alex Orrelle and Eduardo Schuldt (Dolphin: Story of a Dreamer), the film features the voices of Omar Chaparro (No Manches Frida, Huevos: Little Rooster’s Egg-cellent Adventure), Jessica Cediel (Una Comedia Macabra) and Cristián de la Fuente (Devious Maids).

Synopsis: The beloved comic strip is now a laugh-filled movie adventure for the whole family. Condorito, a fun-loving, featherbrained condor, is finally ready to propose to his girlfriend, Yayita. But before Condorito pops the question, Yayita’s mother, Tremebunda, is abducted by evil aliens. Now, Condorito and his nephew, Chicky, must rocket into space on a hilarious quest to rescue Tremebunda and save planet Earth.
