Dr. Seuss Enterprises Launches YouTube Push with New Hybrid Series

The colorful world of Theodor Geisel is coming alive on YouTube with a new eight-part summer takeover series, Seuss Circle Time. Led live actor hosts Ziggy and Tizzie, each half-hour episode brings Seussian characters and settings to life with animation and incorporates interactive songs, early learning games, classic Seuss stories and fun surprises from the Cat in the Hat.

The new series follows Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ major relaunch and investment in the Dr. Seuss YouTube channel of July 2024, which has helped boost its subscriber count 1,084% (476K) and viewing up 993%, per the company’s figures. The channel’s content targets kids ages 3-7, their parents and educators, and is primed for further growth as DSE extends its partnership with All3Media’s Little Dot Studios, which will continue to manage the Dr. Seuss YouTube channel and work with Electric Studios (part of Electric Theatre Collective) for animation.

Little Dot has previously produced shows for the channel including Learn to Read with Dr. Seuss Babies, The Lorax’s Nature Keeper’s Club, The Cat in the Hat’s Quirky Quiz and Draw Your Dream Pet, recently adding Crafty Fun with The Cat in the Hat and Learn to Draw Dr. Seuss Babies.

In a new interview with Deadline, Dr. Seuss Enterprises President & CEO Susan Brandt shared, “We recognize that families with young children are increasingly co-viewing on YouTube and we understand how important the channel is for brand building and long-term engagement. As such, we have prioritized YouTube content creation making it a top company priority. This means we significantly increased our financial investment in order to develop a robust and dynamic library of content. Our goal is to establish the channel as a leading destination for children’s entertainment which is aligned with our mission at Dr. Seuss to educate and entertain generations around the world through all mediums.”
