Moonbug & Sanrio Ink New Content Collab Deal

Moonbug Entertainment, the award-winning global entertainment company behind CoComelon and Blippi, today announced a new partnership with Hello Kitty brand owner Sanrio. The multi-year collaboration will span co-branded content as well as broader consumer initiatives.

This includes a new crossover series that will see Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty and Cinnamaroll joining in the fun with CoComelon‘s JJ and pals. The series will debut in 2026, with Moonbug leading global distribution.

The partnership was previewed during a fireside chat by Kevin Mayer, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Candle Media, at the APOS Summit in Bali. Candle Media is the parent company of Moonbug Entertainment.

“This collaboration brings together two powerful global brands with generations of fans,” said Mayer. “We’re excited to create fresh experiences that blend the heart and humor of CoComelon with Sanrio’s beloved characters in ways that will delight families around the world. This is the start of a creative partnership with huge potential, and we can’t wait to share more later this year.”

While this marks Moonbug’s first collaboration with Sanrio, Moonbug and CoComelon have teamed up with beloved local brands across Asia before. From South Korea to Japan to Malaysia and more, these partnerships have proven the power of blending global reach with local relevance.
