Xentrix Studios Australia has announce a new partnership with internationally recognized magician Cosentino to develop Magicland, an animated TV series which aims to enchant family audiences with a mix of adventure, humor and magical storytelling.
“We are incredibly proud to be collaborating with Cosentino on Magicland,” said Ken Cantrill, Head of Creative at Xentrix Studios Australia. “This series is a vibrant, dynamic blend of illusion, comedy, and heroism — qualities that define Cosentino himself. Magicland will not only visually stunning but also carries a universal message about teamwork, courage, and imagination.”
Synopsis: Magicland follows the captivating journey of Cosentino, a magician, and his best friend Locki, a magical lock, as they battle evil in the enchanting world of Magicland. Traveling across the land righting wrongs, the duo confronts the sinister King of Silver City, a tyrant whose loyal soldiers — Hollow, Flex, Matchman and The Puzzler — enforce his outrageous and hilarious orders. Along the way, Cosentino and Locki form a diverse crew of allies, each bringing unique skills essential to overcoming the King’s chaos and restoring balance to Magicland.
Having sold out stage shows in his home country of Australia and in more than 40 countries around the world, magician, illusionist and escapologist Cosentino now pulls a brand-new trick out of the hat with his original animated world. The performer has received countless accolades, including the prestigious Merlin Awards for International Magician of the Year and International Escape Artist of the Year, placing him in the company of the likes of David Copperfield and Penn & Teller.
“Magicland is a dream project for me,” said Cosentino. “I’ve always wanted to blend my love for magic with powerful storytelling, and animation allows us to do that on a whole new level. I want kids (and adults!) everywhere to feel that same sense of wonder that inspired me to become a magician. This series is about defying the odds, solving problems with creativity, and believing in the impossible.”
Mark Flynn, Cosentino’s longtime manager, added, “This is the natural evolution of Cosentino’s brand — moving from the stage to the screen in a way that will inspire, entertain and wow a whole new generation globally.”
Xentrix Studios Australia has previously helped bring successful storywolds such as Max & the Midknights, Big Nate, Monster High and Stillwater to screens.
