Youth audiovisual content distribution company APC Kids announces it will now operate as Madgic Distribution. The rebrand follows its integration into the Madgic group in May 2025, when the company took a majority stake in the children’s business which also owns animation studio Zephyr Animation.
APC Kids’ Managing Director Lionel Marty will become CEO of Madgic Distribution and Zephyr Animation (Lana Longbeard, Mogu & Perol), with David Sauerwein continuing as Producer at Zephyr Animation, which he co-founded.
The Madgic group, led by Jean-Michel Spiner, includes the 2 Minutes animation studios located in Paris, Angoulême, Saint Denis La Réunion and Nanjing in China, and Label Anim (The Scarlet Rose, Zak Jinks).
Madgic Distribution’s catalog now consists of over 1,800 episodes and 50 series from international producers. The slate includes animation for all ages, such as Jade Armor, Angelo Rules, Isadora Moon and Emerald, and youth live-action titles including Hawa & Adam, High Hoops and Walter’s Christmas, all of which are broadcast on the most important kids’ networks and platforms around the world.
Madgic was formed in 2022 when 2 Minutes and Label Anim merged, creating a group offering a wide range of production and audiovisual services across animated series, feature film and documentaries.
“Now that we have seamlessly integrated into the Madgic group, we felt it was time to rebrand as Madgic Distribution,” commented Marty. “It is business as usual and we will be heading to Le Rendez-Vous in Le Havre and MIPCOM in Cannes over the next few months with a robust slate on animation and live actions for kids of all ages and we will continue to work with international producers to help develop, finance, co-produce and distribute their content.”
