Nielsen has revealed its streaming numbers for the first half of 2025, and international children’s phenom Bluey has kept is place on top of the U.S. charts for January to June. Continuing its momentum as the top show of 2024, the Australian animated series from Ludo Studio, distributed stateside by Disney, has racked up 25.06 billion viewing minutes so far this year, putting it on track to have a similar year-long total as in ’24 (55.63B mins.)
The show has been in Nielsen’s streaming ratings in either the overall list or Top 10 Acquired Series for 143 straight weeks since October 2022. Bluey‘s library contains 154 episodes.
Other notable toon standouts on the charts are Hulu’s Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers (both from Disney-owned 20th Television Animation), which are at No. 4 and 5 spots (after Grey’s Anatomy and NCIS) with 19.07B and 17.01B minutes. SpongeBob SquarePants (Paramount+) popped up at the No. 6 spot with 16.68B minutes of views. American Dad! (Hulu) was at no. 12 with 12.97 and South Park (on Max) ended up at No. 17 with 10.45B minutes. Disney’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends was the No. 19 show with 10.12B minutes. On Nielsen’s Original Chart, DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse was the No. 13 show with 6.01B minutes of views via Netflix and Prime Video.
For feature films, Disney’s Moana 2 is the most-streamed title of the first half of the year, totting up 7.23B minutes so far in 2025. The original Moana hangs on in fourth place, having topped the charts in the previous two full years. Other animated movies included Universal’s Despicable Me 4 at the No. 2 spot with 6.27B minutes. DreamWorks’ The Wild Robot landed at the No. 5 spot (on Netflix and Peacock) with 3.8B minutes, while Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Frozen took the No. 6 and 9 spots with 3.73B and 3.056B minutes respectively. Super Mario Bros. Movie and the original Lilo & Stitch movie (2002) also made the list at No. 16 and 19 with 2.66B and 2.62B minutes each on Netflix and Disney+.
