Hulu Reveals ‘Futurama’ S13 First-Look & September Launch Date

Futurama fans can prepare to go back to the future when Season 13 of the Emmy-winning animated series blasts off on Hulu this fall. The streamer today unveiled first-look images from the upcoming season, which it was announced today will arrive September 15 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET with all 10 episodes dropping at once. (Season 11 & 12 rolled out one episode weekly on the streamer).

Additionally, S13 will launch the same day at 8/7C on FXX, with two episodes airing weekly.

Series stars John DiMaggio (Bender), Billy West (Fry, Zoidberg, Professor Farnsworth), Katey Sagal (Leela), Tress MacNeille (Mom), Maurice LaMarche (Kif), Lauren Tom (Amy), Phil Lamar (Hermes) and David Herman (Scruffy) are all back for more sci-fi shenanigans in the new season.

One of the Top 10 Streaming Originals of 2024, according to Nielsen, Futurama is created by Matt Groening and developed by Groening and David X. Cohen. Executive producers include Groening, Cohen, Ken Keeler and Claudia Katz. The series is produced by 20th Television Animation.

Futurama premiered in 1999 and quickly gained a faithful following and critical acclaim, including two primetime Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program. After its initial run on Fox, a roller-coaster of cancellations and resurrections ensued. Four successful direct-to-DVD releases in 2007-2009 led to the show’s rebirth on Comedy Central from 2010-2013. Then, after a brief 10-year freeze in the cryogenic chamber, Futurama re-emerged as a streaming series for Hulu with a 20-episode order for launch in 2023.
