Meet Netflix’s New Animated Family in ‘Long Story Short’ Teaser

Today, audiences were introduced to the Schwooper siblings, stars of the new animated adult comedy from BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, in the teaser trailer for Long Story Short. The 10 x 25′ series is set to premiere August 22 on the streamer. The early look flashes between a childhood car ride and an adult reenactment, proving that some family dynamics never change no matter how much you’ve “grown up.”

Logline: Long Story Short is an animated comedy from the creator of BoJack Horseman about one family, over time. Jumping through the years, we follow the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys and compromises.

Bob-Waksberg serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer, with BoJack Horseman alum and Tuca & Bertie creator Lisa Hanawalt as supervising producer. Executive producers are Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen for Tornante Television, with Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley as co-executive producers for animation studio ShadowMachine.

As previously announced, the voice cast features Lisa Edelstein as Naomi Schwartz, Paul Reiser as Elliott Cooper, Ben Feldman as Avi Schwooper, Abbi Jacobson as Shira Schwooper, Max Greenfield as Yoshi Schwooper, Angelique Cabral as Jen, Nicole Byer as Kendra Hooper, Dave Franco as Danny Wegbreit and Michaela Dietz as Hannah Schwooper.
