Beginning this Friday, August 15, fans of all ages can enjoy all three seasons (62 episodes) of the original, Daytime Emmy Award-winning series Wonder Pets! on Apple TV+. Celebrated for its music and heartwarming stories, the series was created by preschool animation hitmaker Josh Selig, and originally aired on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. from 2006-2016.
Wonder Pets! follows the adventures of three classroom pets who travel the globe to rescue baby animals in need. With teamwork, catchy songs, and problem-solving skills, Linny, Tuck, and Ming-Ming work together on missions that teach young viewers the value of cooperation, empathy, and persistence. Each episode features operatic-style singing and a gentle, encouraging tone designed especially for preschoolers.
Wonder Pets! was produced by Selig’s Little Airplane Productions (S1-3), Snowflake Films NYC (S4), Kavaleer Productions (S4) and Nickelodeon Animation Studio/Nick Jr. Productions. Over its run, the show won four Daytime Emmy Awards (Music Direction & Composition [x2], Original Song – Children’s & Animation and Outstanding Performer [Eartha Kitt]), as well as a Creative Arts Emmy for Music Direction & Composition, alongside nominations for Outstanding Preschool Series, Preschool Animated Program, and Writing in a Children’s Series/Preschool Animated Program.
The full library of Wonder Pets! joins the first season of Wonder Pets: In the City, the original series featuring a new trio of heroes: Izzy the Guinea Pig, Tate the Snake and Zuri the Bunny. These heroic pets live in a kindergarten classroom in New York City, and travel all around the globe in their amazing “Jetcar” to rescue animals in musical, mini-opera-themed adventures. When the going gets tough, Izzy, Tate and Zuri always remember to combine their talents and abilities and work together to save the day — because together, there’s nothing they can’t do!
Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, Wonder Pets: In the City is developed by Emmy Award winner Jennifer Oxley, who serves as executive producer alongside Steve Altiere and Grammy and Emmy Award winner and co-executive produce Jeffrey Lesser.
