The International Short Film Competition presents 30 films from more than 20 countries, including three Portuguese productions: Dog Alone by Marta Reis Andrade, Because Today Is Saturday by Alice Eça Guimarães and Sequencial by Bruno Caetano.

In the International Student Films Competition, 23 films from 15 different countries were selected. Five feature films will compete in the International Feature Film Competition.

In the National Competition, eight films will vie for the António Gaio Award. The discovery of new talent continues in the Young Portuguese Director Competition, which distinguishes two age categories: 16 films made by young people over the age of 18 and 12 works created by young people up to the age of 18.
