‘CoComelon’ Outranks MrBeast as Most-Searched YouTube Channel in the U.S.

New research from podcast and video creation platform Riverside (riverside.fm) has identified the most popular YouTube channels across the U.S., based on average monthly Google searches.

Nationally, children’s animation hit CoComelon (Moonbug Ent.) dominates as the most searched channel. The daily adventure of JJ and the gang claims the top spot in 49 states with an average of 87,607 Google searches per month across the country.

The new figures put CoComelon ahead of YouTube star MrBeast, who boasts over 410 million subscribers on the platform and ranked second nationwide and on the Top 5 in every state. Searched for MrBeast average 26,863 per month.

The Swifties were also out in force, bringing Taylor Swift to third place with an average of 9.828 Google searches across the U.S. each month. The performer’s channel is the No. 1 searched for in Alaska and ranks third in 28 other states.

WWE is fourth most-searched channel, with an average of 9,227 Google searches per month across the country. In fifth place is sports and entertainment channel Dude Perfect, with an average of 4,409 Google searches per month.

Another animated kids’ fave, Masha and the Bear, came in at No. 7 with an average of 3,045 Google searches per month, ahead of Ariana Grande, Vlad and Niki and Billie Eilish.

“This data shows how YouTube video consumption influences the popularity of channels across the U.S., but also in each state. The strong presence of children’s channels like CoComelon and Masha and the Bear suggests that for many, YouTube has become a reliable source of entertainment and distraction for families, said Abel Grunfeld, VP of Marketing at Riverse.

“At the same time, the presence of high-profile content creators like MrBeast and Dude Perfect shows how viewer support is key to their success, as MrBeast remains the most-subscribed channel on YouTube, with over 410 million subscribers as of July 2025.

“The searches for MrBeast and Taylor Swift as top channels suggest Americans are looking for both original creator content and traditional music on the platform. For content creators, understanding these preferences can help them tailor their strategies to reach specific audiences more effectively, and in turn, generate more revenue.”

Data for the survey was sourced from Google Keyword Planner over the past 12 months, analyzing with the search term “YouTube” / “YouTuber.” Riverside provided the results.

CoComelon has ranked at the top of the Netflix kids’ charts in recent years and has expanded with a spin-off series, CoComelon Lane. The first CoComelon feature film was announced in May 2025 by Moonbug (a Candle Media company), and Flywheel Media. The movie is slated to hit theaters in 2027.
