In an exclusive bonus feature clip shared with Animation Magazine, “Causing A Scene,” viewers are guided through the process the DreamWorks Animation team used to craft the stylish critter caper, with storyboards and final scenes interspersed with insights from the story, editing, cinematography and animation/VFX departments.
The clip features head of story Katherine de Vries, head of cinematography & layout Théophile Bondoux, editor Jesse Averna, ACE, head of lighting & compositing Joanna Wu and visual effects supervisor Matt Baer.
Directed by returning The Bad Guys helmer Pierre Perifel, the sequel welcomes back voice stars Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, Zazie Beetz, Alex Borstein, Richard Ayoade and Lilly Singh, joined by “The Bad Girls” crew voiced by Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne and Maria Bakalova. The screenplay was written by Yoni Brenner and Etan Cohen, based on the books by Aaron Blabey. Damon Ross was the film’s producer.
